A Lovely Stay with Nice Moments
We spent three wonderful nights in a Beautiful King Room with a serene garden view. The lively bar created perfect evenings, and the festive lobby atmosphere was magical during our Christmas visit. Don't miss the Glühwein station outside! Pro tip, enjoy breakfast included with your stay to save on costs.

Beautiful and exceptionally comfortable hotel with great pool. Ideal location, a super close walk to a renowned art gallery. Adjacent to the rail system, and the U Bahn. New-fashioned room with very comfortable bed, extremely friendly staff.

We got a good deal for the Westin Grand for two midweek nights. We were there for a city break and the location of the hotel is ideal for sightseeing, walking distance from the big attractions. The staff were friendly and efficient and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The room was clean and well appointed however the bathroom was very small. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in.
There was a queue when checking out which annoyed some people but we weren't in a hurry. The breakfast is expensive to the point of being comical, much better value is to be had in the cafes on Unter den Linden a short walk away. The hotel is perhaps showing it's age a little. It was good value for the price we paid but I have stayed in much nicer five star hotels than this.

The Westin is in the heart of Berlin - Friedrichstrasse, which is in my opinion closed i.e. most central between Kurfuerstendamm and Alexanderplatz, besides the fact this is the main street of Berlin. The Westin has allure and is very comfortable to be. What we liked best was the lounge area outside.
This is very personal and as I am a perfectionist myself, I could mention some points (details) to be improved, but overall it is good and certainly would go back.

The Central location on Friedrichstr. in 'Mitte' is ideal for sightseeing, dining and shopping. Tram and tube stations are just round the corner, as is the the Brandenburg Tor located on 'Unter den Linden', which is only a few minutes walk away. Staff are extremely friendly and happy to help without being over-bearing. The breakfast buffet is also worth every penny and I recommend this to get your day off to a good start. The hotel even produces its own honey from bees that are kept on the top of the building. This fresh honey is available at the breakfast buffet. The decor is top-notch with comfortable rooms and clean bathrooms, and a beautifully designed atmospheric lobby area featuring a bar and grand central stair case leading up to the 1st floor conference/dining rooms. This lobby also has a central grand light-well with circular atrium from which you can look down (or up) to appreciate the atmosphere of the hotel. The Spa on the 1st floor is fully equipped with 3 different sauna installations, a circular indoor pool and a Jacuzzi as well as gym. The spa treatments and massages on offer are also executed with care and attention and def. worth a visit to relax. The package we booked included a souvenir piece of the berlin wall, a section of which is located directly outside the hotel for hotel guests to chip a piece away and take home with them. I highly recommend this hotel to the discerning traveller who appreciates comfort and good service.

Recommend it for solo travelers wanting comfort
The staff were really good, especially Brigitt at reception, very accommodating and easy to talk to in multiple languages. Plus, the breakfast was a good spread, something for everyone, couldn't get enough of it!
It wasn't cheap, but still acceptable for the quality you get.

The location is really good with walking distance to the center. The cleanness of the room and the comfort of the heavenly bed is excellent. Very silent rooms even if you are in city center. Do not miss the breakfast buffet. It is quite expensive but well worth the money.

I loved the comfort of the hotel (especially the beds), it was always clean to the highest standard, and the staff could not be more friendly and helpful in every possible way. The location was great, close to shops, cafes, the underground, and all the major sights of interest.
My only complaint was how expensive the drinks were in the hotel bar. We like to finish our evening with a few drinks in the hotel bar, but found €8 for a pint was too expensive.
